Hour of Love 2020

WE'RE EXCITED TO SHARE...
Hour of Love is back! On May 1 & 2, HEA's tail-wagging, thunderous-purring, snuggle-fest returns. We’re looking for individuals, groups, and families of all sizes to volunteer for just an hour (longer if you wish). Your heart is sure to go pitter-patter when you sign up for a slot during this high-impact event!

HOW IT WORKS:
For 60 minutes, you'll hang out up-close-and-personal with the animals that you're helping. We'll provide the tools, and you'll do what you do best: take pictures, send texts and emails, make cute posts to your favorite social media outlets, and place a couple phone calls to the pet lovers in your life. A very simple ask for support will make all the difference in the world to hundreds of companion animals. The ask will be made easy thanks to matching funds that will further the impact!

GET INVOLVED:
>> Register for a shift
>> Spread the word – tell your friends and co-workers
>> Plan a gift for May 1 & 2

WHEN YOU SIGN UP
You'll receive a toolkit built to help maximize your fundraising success. Your Hour of Love gives you unlimited access to: love from your four-legged friends, tasty refreshments, and all the positive feels that come with changing lives!

WHY AN HOUR MATTERS
In the world of companion animal welfare, the value of an hour is significant. The 60 minutes you choose to share could literally be the difference between life and death for animals that could benefit from HEA’s help. While HEA is able to extend the gift of time to every companion animal that enters our care, that’s not the reality everywhere. SHARE AN HOUR. SAVE A LIFE.

WANT TO HELP, BUT...
You just can’t break away from the important work you’re doing in the office or the shop...no worries, we totally get it. We believe you can still help! Would any of these ideas work?We realize you might love all of these ideas, but you don’t have the time to coordinate any of them. If you think participating would bring great energy or stress relief to your team, let us know who we should chat with. We can take it from there!

Questions about this event or planning your own? Email us. Our team is here to help make each Hour of Love extra special for our guests and the animals!

Since our founding in 2006, we have seen great progress in the companion animal welfare world. Needless killing in shelters continues to decline. Organizations across the country are moving toward a no-kill measure. The agreed upon no-kill measure has been defined as a 90% live release rate. Our view is that 90% isn't enough. We are determined to see the day when the remaining 10% receive continued care and love too.

Innovative solutions are produced when killing is removed from the equation.
